Statement of Faith
What we believe — the core truths of the Christian faith that guide everything we do at The House of Destiny.
We believe in the Bible
The Bible is God's eternal word to humanity. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for what we believe and the way we live.
John 17:17; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21
We believe in the Holy Trinity — Father, Son and Holy Spirit
God the creator and ruler of the universe eternally exists in three personalities — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. He is an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He concerns Himself mercifully in the lives of people, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-4; 1 John 5:7; John 3:16-17; Hebrews 12:3; 1 John 1:7
We believe in Salvation through Jesus Christ
The only way to restore our relationship with God is by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Jesus, the second person of the Trinity, lived a sinless life and voluntarily paid for our sin by giving His life on the cross. He rose from the dead and will come again. Salvation comes by God's grace through faith — not by human effort.
Isaiah 7:14; John 1:14; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 12:3; 1 John 1:7
We believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, manifests Himself through various gifts and makes people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every believer from the moment of salvation, equipping and empowering us for personal growth and service.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11
