God of Another Chance: My Voice Is Restored

“Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then shall the lame leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy.” — Isaiah 35:5–6

It has been almost six months since my thyroidectomy surgery—a procedure that left me unable to speak.

During that time, I couldn’t make phone calls. I could only communicate through whispers or text messages. It was a difficult and emotional journey, often marked by frustration and miscommunication because many people could barely understand what I was trying to say.

Yet, through it all, I held on to God’s promises.

This week, the God of another chance remembered me. He has restored my voice!

Today, I can comfortably make phone calls, speak clearly, and express myself without fear or hesitation. What once felt impossible has become my testimony.

The promise of Isaiah 35:5–6 has become a reality in my life: “The tongue of the mute [shall] sing for joy.” I give all the glory to God for His faithfulness and mercy.

If you are waiting on God for your own breakthrough, don’t lose hope. No matter how long the journey has been, He is still the God who restores. He did it for me, and He can do it for you too.
