My House of Destiny Testimony — Wanjiku Muriuki.
At the beginning of this year, I made a prayer that I wanted to be around community — healthy community — because I realized how guarded I had been and how much I had isolated myself from people.
I can say I officially joined House of Destiny — like I made up my mind — on a Youth Connect. The topic that day was on mental health, something I am very passionate about.
What happened on that day, I had not felt in a very long time. I felt a breath of fresh air, a sense of relief and healing. It was such an amazing thing to be around people, around community, around church community, around other youths.
Being in the House of Destiny has been instrumental in my healing.
I was also looking forward to being in a place where I could offer the things I already loved to do, and this church has just been that!
I was looking to be in a church where faith and structure converged. Balance.
The other day I realized — I am in the House of Destiny. At first it was just a name, but now it is actually a prophecy over my life.
